This Memorial Day, Saucelito Elementary School honors the brave servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

As we enjoy time with family and friends, we also take a moment to remember those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we cherish every day. We are grateful for their courage, service, and sacrifice.

Tomorrow is the big day for our exhibitors! All of their hard work and commitment to these livestock projects finishes with the Jr. Livestock Auction at the Porterville Fair.

Wildcats have been busy this April! State testing, spring athletics, Animakerspace Lab, Pathways Showcase, Catalina Island Marine Institute, Springville Rodeo Assembly, Poetry & Prose and combined FFA meetings. Keep up the great work. We are proud of you! 🐾♥️

🌟 Alumni spotlight 🌟 Matthew Mejia, class of 2022, earned the CA FFA State Degree through his high school agriculture program. This is the highest degree a student can earn through the FFA while in high school. Matthew’s FFA journey started at Saucelito where he participated in the sectional Opening & Closing speaking contest, State Convention and showed meat birds at the Porterville Fair. He is our first FFA alumni to earn this prestigious award and we are so proud of him. Congratulations Matthew!

On Friday, March 27, the Saucelito afterschool program hosted its first annual Art Show. Participants started the event with a guided painting with followed by classroom visits to see students’ artwork. 🖼️ What a great way to head into spring break. Thank you to the hard work of our afterschool staff for making this event possible!
