Meet Callie! Loves farms, animals, and gardens

Here at SHINE we are dedicated to using the power of social media to share Indiana children that are in need of a long-term FAMILY... please like, comment and SHARE our posts of their stories in effort to reach someone who doesn't know it yet- but they're heart has room to change a child's life for forever.

Callie is a great student who excels at everything she tries! She’s particularly great in her math and English classes and loves reading so you’ll almost never find her without a book nearby! She may want to be a writer someday so right now she loves telling stories and keeping people entertained. She’s excited to hear stories from other people and really getting to know them. She’s very artistic and working on all kinds of projects for people, she really likes giving out presents to her friends. She’s a wonderful helper and is usually the first to offer a hand when you need it!

Callie would do best in a two-parent home without other children so she gets plenty of one-on-one time. She does best with clear and consistent rules and boundaries so she knows what to expect day to day. She appreciates parents who make communication a priority and who ensure she feels heard and understood. Parents who make education a priority are ideal. Callie would love to live on a farm or in the country with lots of animals and maybe some space for her very own garden.

Meet Miracle! Future Star.

Here at SHINE we are dedicated to using the power of social media to share Indiana children that are in need of a long-term FAMILY... please like, comment and SHARE our posts of their stories in effort to reach someone who doesn't know it yet- but they're heart has room to change a child's life for forever.

Miracle is a great kid who always looks after the people who need it! She’s very against bullying and isn’t afraid to step in to help someone out! She’s very hands-on and really enjoys spending time making crafts and trinkets for her favorite people. It’s a great way to show you care. She also really knows her way around the kitchen and is excited to try new foods and recipes she finds. She’s a tremendous singer and would love the opportunity to show off someday. Her big dream is getting on America’s Got Talent and wowing the judges!

Miracle would do well in either a one or two-parent home and would love a forever family that came with brothers or sisters. She will thrive with parents who offer her support when she needs it and who help guide her along the right path. She does best in a calm, patient environment with parents who work hard at communication. Families who make education a priority are ideal. Interested families need to be willing to take on any therapeutic needs she may have in the future.

Meet Maya! Artistic and kind.

Here at SHINE we are dedicated to using the power of social media to share Indiana children that are in need of a long-term FAMILY... please like, comment and SHARE our posts of their stories in effort to reach someone who doesn't know it yet- but they're heart has room to change a child's life for forever.

Maya is a dedicated reader and is always looking for another series to binge! Right now she’s going through all the Freida McFadden books she can get her hands on! She especially likes thrillers but she’ll try just about anything, anything except romance that is. She’s not a big fan. She’ll play any game you want to try out, she’s always up for something fun. She likes video games and card games, but really anything that lets her compete she’s pretty happy with. She’s also a pretty great artist and enjoys showing off her drawings to anyone interested!

Maya would do well in either a one or two-parent home and would love a forever family that came with siblings. She would appreciate parents who take an interest in her hobbies and who encourage her to try new things and to get out into the community. She would do best with a patient transition into a forever home with parents who make sure she feels heard and that what she needs is being addressed. Families need to be willing to take on any therapeutic needs she may have in the future.

Meet Jacob: Loves being creative

Here at SHINE we are dedicated to using the power of social media to share Indiana children that are in need of a long-term FAMILY... please like, comment and SHARE our posts of their stories in effort to reach someone who doesn't know it yet- but they're heart has room to change a child's life for forever.

Jacob is very creative and loves working on his origami skills! He makes airplanes, swords, or whatever else his brain can come up with! He loves making people laugh, and he’s a master at “made you look” jokes!

A totally active kid, he’s always up for getting out some energy — especially if it involves going for a swim! If there’s a pool or a lake nearby, you know Jacob’s going to want to get in there. He loves cars and trains and planes, and is a big Transformers fan. He’ll watch anything that has to do with them!

Jacob would do well in either a one- or two-parent home and would do best as the only child so he gets plenty of attention and support. He will thrive with parents who make sure he feels loved and wanted and reinforce that he’s found his forever family. Jacob does best with consistency and routine with a little time to process when things are changing. Parents who make education a priority are ideal.

Meet William: Eager for a place to belong!

Here at SHINE we are dedicated to using the power of social media to share Indiana children that are in need of a long-term FAMILY... please like, comment and SHARE our posts of their stories in effort to reach someone who doesn't know it yet- but they're heart has room to change a child's life for forever.

If given a choice, William will always pick being outside rather than being cooped up indoors! He loves running around with his friends trying to find fun adventures to get into! William’s got a pretty fast bike that he loves riding, and he enjoys shooting hoops if the court’s not too crowded.

Although shy at first, you’ll know William feels comfortable with you when he starts cracking jokes. Humor is definitely one of his love languages! He thrives with lots of positive reinforcement and one-on-one attention. William has a lot of energy, so a family that likes to be out and about doing lots of things together would be ideal.

Prince is a great athlete who excels at everything he tries! His favorite is definitely basketball and he can’t wait until he’s on the court with all his buddies! When he wants to relax, he’s also a big gamer and enjoys playing all sorts of games. He particularly enjoys games where he gets to build things and create all sorts of neat stuff. The more creative he gets to be, the happier he is. He’s a great student and does well in all his classes and with the right encouragement and support, there’s simply nothing he won’t be able to accomplish!

Prince would do well in a one or two-parent home and would prefer either one or two moms. He would do best as the only child so he gets plenty of attention and support. He hopes for a family that wants to come support him and cheer him on at his sporting events and other activities. He would love a family that wants to do things together as a family so they have plenty of bonding time. Parents need to be willing to take on any therapeutic needs he may have in the future.
