Update: Interstate 55 will be shutdown in the next 30-45 minutes. Expect traffic delays….

There will be road closures throughout the day as Entergy officials repair downed power lines. Interstate 55 between Wynndale Road exit and the Terry exit will be closed both North Bound and South Bound. Alternate routes will be I-55 frontage road as well as Cunningham Street to Utica street, which turns into Wynndale Road. Law Enforcement presence is highly visible in the area along with The Mississippi Highway Patrol, Hinds County Sheriff’s Office and Byram Police Department.

Currently there is not a time of completion. We asked that you avoid the area if possible. Thank you for your understanding as we all work collectively to get the situation solved.
