Did you know Connecticut played an outsized role in America’s fight for independence?

Join award-winning journalist Mike Allen on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30pm for a fascinating look at Connecticut’s contributions to the Revolutionary War. Known as “The Provision State,” Connecticut supplied vital food and ammunition to the Continental Army, while local leaders and historic figures helped shape the new nation.

From military actions in Danbury, Ridgefield, Groton, New London, New Haven, Norwalk, Fairfield, and beyond, to the influence of Roger Sherman, Israel Putnam, Jonathan Trumbull, Benedict Arnold, Noah Webster, George Washington, and General Rochambeau, this program will highlight the people and places that made Connecticut essential to the cause of independence.
