Officer Sheehan and Officer Saad stopped by an awesome lemonade stand on Trull Road today to support some young entrepreneurs.

Bradley, Tucker, and Tenley were serving up delicious lemonade while also getting a closer look at one of our cruisers and some of its equipment and functionality.

Best of luck to these young entrepreneurs this summer!

82 YEARS AGO TODAY

🇺🇸 June 6, 1944 – D-Day

On this day, thousands of Allied soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the most courageous military operations in history. Many never returned home. Their sacrifice helped liberate Europe and preserve freedom for future generations.

As we reflect on D-Day, we honor the bravery, selflessness, and unwavering commitment of those who answered the call despite overwhelming odds.

Their legacy reminds us that freedom is never free and that ordinary people are capable of extraordinary courage.

The men who landed on those beaches did not know what the day would bring. They simply knew their duty and moved forward.

Today, we remember them.

“These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent.” — Ronald Reagan

🇺🇸 We will never forget.

While out on patrol yesterday, Officer Sarah McConaghy met a couple young bike riders who are also big fans of police. After stopping to chat, she gave them a tour of her cruiser and even let them sit inside for a photo.

Moments like these are what community policing is all about!

Today, CSO Jacob Saad was in the area when he decided to stop by Oakdale Market Basket to grab something for lunch. That’s when he met Sal, who mentioned he was on his way to Revere Beach and couldn’t wait to bring his dog Buddy along with him.

Sal then introduced Buddy, who was cooling off in the air-conditioned car before coming out to say hello. After talking with Sal, we learned Buddy is a 1-year-old rescue pup, mostly Jack Russell Terrier, originally rescued from Georgia. Buddy found his way to Massachusetts thanks to Sal and his sister Michelle, who helped connect him with the rescue. Shoutout to Michelle for helping bring Buddy home!

Buddy loves spending time outdoors, running around the North Street area, going on walks around town, and especially enjoying the snow. Prior to being rescued, Buddy suffered an infection that resulted in part of his tail needing to be removed, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit.

It was great meeting Sal and Buddy today, and we hope they enjoy the beach trip together!
