The reality of our country is that every 68 seconds someone is s*xually assaulted. These violent and disgusting acts are all too frequent, yet survivors everywhere feel alone and ashamed. By raising awareness and sharing our stories as survivors, we can make a change.

It is NEVER the victims fault! Be mindful of what you are saying about others and remind your friends that it is never okay to blame the victim. Victim blaming is one of the main reasons victims often do not report assault or abuse.

We are wishing sweet Caedyn the best of luck this week at Miss Virginia’s Teen! Caedyn has been such a light in her community, advocating for victims and teaching others how we can prevent s*xual assault. She has a servant heart, and we are so grateful for everything she has accomplished so far as an STTS student ambassador. From starting a school club to hosting self defense class, she really does it all. She will be representing her home town of Franklin County at the state competition with Stronger Than The Silence as her Community Service Initiative. We know the judges will love you just as much as we do! Go show them what STTS is all about!💙💙

This is your reminder to check your local s*x offender registry! I recently checked mine for peace of mind, as I live in a very quiet neighborhood. Instead, I learned there are more than 60 registered s*x offenders within a 3 mile radius of my home. This is the reality of our world. Being aware of your surroundings is such an important part of being safe!
