🏡 AFFORDABLE HOUSING APPLICATIONS ARE OPENING SOON!

Habitat for Humanity of Texarkana will begin accepting NEW applications for our Affordable Housing Program on Friday, October 2nd.

Applications will be available online and at our Habitat office beginning Friday, October 2nd. All completed applications must be turned into the Habitat for Humanity of Texarkana office by Monday, November 2nd at 5:00 p.m.!

This is the FINAL DEADLINE for submitting applications. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.

💵 PROCESSING FEE

A $25 MONEY ORDER must be submitted at the time the completed application is turned in. No other form of payment will be accepted.

Completed applications and the $25 money order must be physically turned into the Habitat for Humanity of Texarkana office.

🎤✨ WHAT. A. NIGHT! ✨🎤

We had an absolute BLAST at last night's Sing It Forward event hosted by United Way of Greater Texarkana, INC—and we’re still celebrating! 🎶🙌

Not only did we get to sing, laugh, cheer, and have WAY too much fun…we brought home 2ND PLACE and $2,000! 🥈💰🎉

This event is truly one of our favorites every year! It’s such a fun way to celebrate the incredible nonprofits and community members who come together to make a difference right here in Texarkana.

We’re especially grateful for our partnership with United Way of Greater Texarkana. Events like Sing It Forward are a perfect reminder that community engagement isn’t just important—it’s what makes a community STRONGER. ❤️🏠

Thank you, United Way, for another unforgettable night and for giving us one more reason to sing, celebrate, and support the work happening across our community!

Happy Thankful Thursday! 💙🔨🏠💚

As we settle back into the office, we’re still reflecting on the incredible three days we spent at the Habitat Texas Lone Star Summit in Grapevine, Texas!

Our Executive Director, Molly Riley and ReStore Manager, Nicole Smyth, had the privilege of connecting and building relationships with Habitat leaders from across the state. The Lone Star Summit was a phenomenal experience! Between sharing best practices and discovering new ideas, theres no doubt all affiliates returned home feeling energized, excited, and ready for the work ahead.

Today, we as a Habitat affiliate are thankful for the friendships we’ve fostered and for those that have strengthened with our Habitat Texas family. We can’t wait to bring what we’ve learned back to Texarkana as we continue building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

We’re sharing a few photos from our wonderfully educational and fun-filled time at the summit. Thank you, Habitat Texas, for an unforgettable experience—we’re already looking forward to next year! 🏡

2026 Executive Leader Retreat held in Bastrop, TX was hosted by Habitat for Humanity Texas. It was an opportunity to "unplug" and re-focus. The whole experience was truly invaluable. We are beyond grateful for the wealth of knowledge we gained and feel blessed to work with so many kind-hearted and truly genuine waymakers. We look forward to our next adventure!
