Liberty-Eylau ISD is a AAAA Texas School district in Texarkana, Texas with six campuses serving just over 2,150 students. The mission of LEISD is to provide an instructional environment where all students will develop essential academic, career, and social skills for a lifetime of learning. LEISD’s students will become responsible, contributing, and highly productive citizens in a diverse and chan

ging world. To accomplish this, LEISD has implemented a strong Pre-K-12 instructional system preparing students to be successful in a variety of ways. Rigorous advanced academic coursework begins at the Pre-Kindergarten level and allows students to explore academic opportunities beyond the standard curriculum. This prepares LEISD graduates to be successful in collegiate endeavors. Each year LEHS seniors are awarded millions of dollars in academic scholarships, thanks to strong academic preparation. Extensive Career and Technical Education offerings begin at the middle school level. Sixteen unique career paths allow a high school student to leave LEISD with a variety of industry certifications, including welding, ASE auto mechanics, certified pharmacy technician, licensed cosmetologist, OSHA, and banking and finance certifications. This means that LEISD students are immediately employable and capable of starting and maintaining a rewarding career. Extracurricular activities from academics, fine arts, and athletics at LEISD are among the top in the state. Students in LEISD fine arts and music programs are routinely honored at the state level, leading to multiple scholarship opportunities every year. LEISD athletics teams are regionally competitive and produce college and professional level athletes. The rich history of athletic success provides athletes at LEISD high-level exposure for collegiate athletic opportunities. One of the greatest assets to LEISD is the outstanding involvement of the Liberty-Eylau community. The LEISD Education Foundation supports classroom teachers and character education initiatives through annual classroom grants. The Foundation awards over $30,000 annually to LEISD through this program. The volunteer board members serve as great community ambassadors by seeking support for Foundation programs. A robust PTA allows parents, teachers, and community members to take active roles in the education of our students. A variety of programs-including the Watch DOGS program aimed at increasing positive male role models for children-allow the community to directly impact LEISD students. LEISD is a strong school district with a bright future. As the nation moves forward, students will need to be prepared to thrive in a technology-rich global society. Liberty-Eylau ISD gives students a great opportunity to do just that. Please observe the following guidelines when using any LEISD page.
