A BIG thank you to the employees of Domtar Ashdown Mill for their $5,000 sponsorship of our Backpack Food for Kids program and their donation of backpacks and snacks for our childhood hunger relief efforts.

We also want to thank the Domtar Foundation and Tammy Waters for nominating Harvest Regional Food Bank to receive a $2,000 grant to help us provide additional childhood hunger relief to the community this upcoming school year.

Over the past 12 years, our friends at Domtar-Ashdown have donated over $70,000 in support and helped us send nearly 1,000 students home with food every weekend of the school year!!

✔️ Check-in inside the Fellowship Building (behind the church).
✔️ After check-in, return to your vehicle and line up in the church parking lot for further instructions.
*Limits: One box per household, with a maximum of two households per vehicle.
**Required Documents: Bring a photo ID and proof of address to verify Howard County residency.

Today we want to call out an amazing member of our team, Dyran Gulley, for traveling to Dallas last Thursday night to return our stolen truck, even after starting work at 6am that morning.

Not only did he work until 9pm that night, but he also met our staff at the police station at 8am Friday, even though we were officially closed, and drove our truck to Stateline Fireworks, where he helped those employees unload their stolen inventory!

Because of Dyran’s character and generous spirit, we were back on the road Monday, delivering much needed food to hungry families across our region!

Thank you, Dyran, for being an amazing team member and an even more amazing person!

Once again, we want to say thank you to the Texarkana, AR Police Department, with support from the Texarkana, TX Police Department, for the speedy return of one of our delivery trucks that was stolen late last week.

Automated license plate readers were used to track our vehicle all the way to Dallas, where it was secured, along with thousands of dollars in inventory that was stolen from Stateline fireworks.

Without our vehicles, Harvest Regional Food Bank cannot carry out our mission of bringing food to hungry families across southwest Arkansas and northeast Texas. Thank you to each officer involved, for helping us get back on the road and continue providing access to healthy food for those who need it most.

Instead, thaw meat safely in the refrigerator, in cold water (changing the water every 30 minutes), or in the microwave if you'll be cooking it right away.
