Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing information to help our campus community stay informed, prepared, and ready when it matters most.

We’ll cover emergency alerts, evacuation procedures, fire and life safety, campus safety resources, crime prevention, and how to recognize and report suspicious activity.

Preparedness starts before the emergency.

Help us welcome our newest officer, Officer Kenny Purtell!

Officer Purtell was sworn in today by the University President Ross Alexander as he begins his service with A&M Texarkana.

He brings almost a decade of law enforcement experience, along with five years of experience working in the mental health field. That combination gives him a valuable perspective when serving students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

We’re excited to have Officer Purtell join our team and look forward to the experience and compassion he brings to Serving Our Campus.

It was a great day at Spotlight Texarkana!

We enjoyed meeting new students, sharing more about campus police and the services we provide, and seeing plenty of familiar faces along the way.
