TRAHC's ArtsSmart
Our #TuesdayTeacherFeature is Taylor Livingston who has been teaching at TASD for 8 years, four of which were at College Hill Middle School and the last four at Arkansas High School.
"At a young age I was drawn to miniature ceramic sculptures, knickknacks, and tiny vases. I was intrigued by their proportions, form, and texture. I was the kid that picked up the textured decorative spheres in stores as if they were really something to behold. In high school I had teachers that cultivated that innate wonder, helped me to develop my creativity, and believe in myself as an artist. I am very grateful to Mr. Glen Knod and Mrs. Jeannie Edwards, and constantly find myself surprised yet proud that I get a chance to follow in their footsteps, quite literally. It is surreal some days to find myself as the teacher, not the student, in those very classrooms they had taught and inspired so many artist. I just hope to live up to a fraction of the impact they made while teaching at Arkansas High School."
