DISCOVER THE DIFFERENCE | Academy of Choice and Exploration
The 6th Grade Academy of Choice and Exploration, an Arkansas Middle School program housed at North Heights Community School, is taking learning beyond the textbook through hands-on experiences, research, creativity, collaboration, and real-world connections.
ACE students have researched Arkansas history and geography, created and presented their own lessons, modeled plant and animal cells, practiced professional communication, explored storytelling through art at TRAHC’s MakerSpace, and learned firsthand how local government serves the community.
Each experience gives students opportunities to ask questions, apply what they know, strengthen their communication skills, and make meaningful connections between classroom learning and the world around them.
That’s the difference: learning that is active, relevant, and designed to help students grow.
