The proud history and rich traditions of Texarkana Independent School District (TISD) began with the first graduating class of Texas High School in 1889. Over a century later, TISD continues its legacy of excellence in education with strong leadership and high student achievement, which showcases the ever present Tiger Pride. Currently featuring eleven campuses, TISD provides a quality education f

or pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, as well as career and technology and special education opportunities for pre-school and school-age children. Additionally, the District operates Tiger Learning Centers that provide childcare services for children ages three and up. With over 1,200 full-time employees and substitutes, the District is the fourth largest employer in Texarkana USA. TISD Community Comment Guidelines

🐅🧡 Titus and Friends continued their Summer Tiger Prowl with a visit to Bubba's 33! As a Board of Trustees Level Partner in our Partners in Education program, Bubba's 33 consistently demonstrates its commitment to supporting Texarkana ISD students and staff. From providing incentives that celebrate student and staff achievements to sponsoring staff appreciation luncheons, their generosity helps make a difference throughout the school year.

Bubba's 33 has also been a tremendous supporter of Tiger Athletics, opening its doors each football season to host the Tiger Takeover alongside Texarkana Gameday and creating opportunities for our community to come together and celebrate Tiger pride.

We are grateful for partners like Bubba's 33 who invest in our schools, support our educators, and help create memorable experiences for our students and families.

🎮🐅 Last week, we hope our STEMology campers enjoyed getting an inside look at the exciting world of eSports! While competitive gaming is a lot of fun, eSports is about much more than playing games. Students develop valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership—all skills that can help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.

eSports also opens the door to careers in technology, broadcasting, graphic design, marketing, computer science, and many other high-demand fields. It's a perfect example of how learning and innovation can come together in a way that engages students and sparks future possibilities.

Who knows? We may have a future state champion, game developer, software engineer, or eSports broadcaster right here in Texarkana ISD! 🎮💡

☀️🐅 Leadership doesn't take the summer off! This week, the Texas High School Student Lighthouse Team gathered for their annual Summer Leadership Camp, spending time developing leadership skills, strengthening relationships, and preparing to make an impact during the upcoming school year.

Through team-building activities, collaboration, and meaningful discussions, students focused on fostering a high-trust culture, amplifying student voice, and growing as leaders both inside and outside the classroom. These experiences help equip our students with the communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills needed to create positive change throughout our campus.

As the first high school in Texas to earn Lighthouse Certification, Texas High School continues to empower students to lead, serve, and inspire others. We can't wait to see how these student leaders put their learning into action this year!
