Friends of the Texarkana Public Library We are open the SECOND and FOURTH weekends of the month ONLY. Please read our policy (under the "About you" tab) for accepting all printed materials.

All sales benefit the Texarkana Public Library! The Friends of the Texarkana Public Library gladly accepts gently used books of all kinds. We are thankful to our patrons who donate to the bookstore and support our library through our sales of gently used books. We are a hard-working group of volunteers who give time and effort to raise funds that support some of the programming that you love at ou

r library. Your book donations make all of our efforts possible and are most appreciated. However, we no longer accept:

· Soiled, water damaged books with broken or cracked spines, missing pages, or strong odors
· Books that are badly damaged with missing front or back covers, scribbling, or mold
· Encyclopedias (e.g., Britannica, World Book), World Almanacs, or travel guides
· Condensed books (e.g., Reader’s Digest)
· National Geographic Magazines
· books on tape
· VHS
· Used legal books
· Physicians’ Desk References
· Magazines
· Music CDs, Blu-Rays, DVD movies


Please bring book donations to the bookstore during store hours (10-2 PM on the 2nd and 4th weekend of every month). You might check with nearby nursing and retirement homes, prisons, hospitals, or schools to see if they would welcome your donation of items we cannot accept. Monetary donations may be in the form of grants, memorials, honorariums and others. Please email [email protected]
