Meet our new Section Secretary Zachary Haythorn😁 Zach is a Vigil Honor Member and Eagle Scout from the Netopalis Sipo Schipinack Lodge. He has attended NLS, and both the 2015 and 2018 NOACs. He is an avid sailer, staffing at his local council camp for 3 years where he was the Sailing Base Director in 2019. One of Zach's goals for his term is to aid the lodges in adjusting their training and programs through the Covid-19 pandemic. Zach is excited to work with Zack and Daniel to achieve all our goals and to make the best out of our situation. When Zach isn't busy with college or the OA he enjoys hanging out with his friends and riding his bike with his father and brother.

You may have questions about the upcoming changes to adult program participants (those over 18) recently announced by the BSA, and how they impact the Order of the Arrow. National Chair of the BSA Dan Ownby recently addressed these changes, and what they mean (and don’t mean!) for youth Arrowmen between the ages of 18 and 21:

When Arrowmen turn 18, they will be considered an adult, and for youth safety, anyone 18 years old or older will need to register as an adult.

However, young adults between the ages of 18 and 21 will still have voting rights, and can still hold an office within the Order of the Arrow until they turn 21. That has not changed, and there is no plan to change that policy.

The History Articles and Lodge History have been updated on lodge232.org.

Also, i'm currently updating the Akela Wahinapay App with new MP4, PDF and PNG files. If you have anything OA related you would like to share, email it to me. To help lodge members communicate more effectively, I've added a Newsfeed. It works similar to Facebook and requires a login username and password. The username and password helps ensure that only lodge members can gain access to the social media channels and cuts down on spam. Ill let you know when the app is released.

March Ordeal and Spring Fellowship. 75 total attendance. We gained 36 new Ordeal members ready to sign up for Conclave. Lots of Projects started, and a few finished. Sunday was an Eggcellent morning of Fellowship. A chapter Engineering competition started the morning. Followed by Egg crack and Egg hunt. Fun was had by all. An Extra patch was given to all that stayed and helped us mop the dining hall.

For those of you who have not seen the Water Bottle, this is what it looks like.
Those of you at the Winter Banquet that inquired about a water bottle. This is the lady that made it. She will make smaller ones for you. Please contact her directly and she will give you pricing. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the lodge. Anyone else interested call her.
The kitchen crew at Spring Arrowee 2018! Thanks to Shannon Kisselburg, Darin Powell, & Jimmy Sparks for helping make it a success!
Brethren: Brother Tom Reddin is attempting to fill in some blanks in the current draft of our Lodge History. Below is a list of info he still needs. If any of you can help fill in the blanks, please contact him. It would be great if we could have a complete history. Thanks! Phillip ------------ I am missing one Lodge Distinguished Service Award (youth). I’m not sure of the date of Collin Ronan's awardaward; it could have been either 2002 or 2003. The award would have been presented at the 2003 or 2004 Lodge Banquet: 1997 B. Allen Garner, Jr. 1998 Justin W. Bussey 1999 Jared S. Nicklas 2000 Matthew J. Foust 2001 David A. Foust 2002 Collin M. Ronan 2003 ? 2004 B. Luke Snowden 2005 Brandon K. Renfro 2006 Christopher M. Ronan Here’s what I’m missing for the George C. Byrd Award (adult). The award could have been a framed certificate or an engraved plaque. The dates here are the dates of the Lodge Banquet where the award was presented; the names for all these dates have been confirmed: 1994 Mark E. Nicklas 1995 ? 1996 E. Eugene Perkins 1997 Thomas Q. Quinn, Jr. 1998 ? 1999 ? 2000 Howard C. Glick 2001 Charles W. Snowden 2002 ? 2003 Charles K. “Buck” Jones 2004 Michael H. Little 2005 Phillip W. Jordan 2006 ? 2007 Gregory F. Saulsbury 2008 Staley J. I would like to thank D Hargis for being a good Brother. He sent me a patch set from your lodge
