Good morning! As a reminder our courthouse is open 😃 However, if you need to pay your taxes, assess or get car tags but don't want to leave home you don't have to. Simply go to www.millercollector.com and click on the "Links" tab. There you will find links to everything you need to renew your vehicle registration.
A new feature that has been added to the website is Reports. Every month I will upload a Collection Summary that list what Miller County Collector's office has collected for the previous month. In this report you can see how much is distributed to each taxing entity. It is separated into current and delinquent taxes collected. You'll notice on the delinquent report it list multiple years, sometimes going back as far as 2010. That is because our office has been working diligently to collect on delinquencies.
If you have any questions or if you need help navigating the website please feel free to call our office and myself or one of my staff will be glad to assist you. Our phone number is 870-774-1001

Effective tomorrow the public entrance to the Miller County Courthouse will be the South handicap entrance. All the other doors to the courthouse will be locked. To make it more convenient for you the employee parking lot will be available for you to use. Expect to have your temperature taken at the door before you’re permitted inside the courthouse. If you are running fever, you will not be allowed (you shouldn’t be out anyway) to enter. Most things can be done online or by phone. We are doing this for your protection as well as the staffs.

Yesterday Governor Asa Hutchinson announced at least 6 presumptive cases of COVID-19 in the state. At this time many safety measures are being implemented across the state.

In the Collectors office we are doing our part, not only by disinfecting surfaces throughout the day, but also offering alternate ways to make tax payments. During this time we will be accepting payments over the phone to limit face to face exposure. Alternatively, we accept payments by mail or you may make online payments, assess your personal property, print past copies of tax receipts, renew your license and vehicle registration and redeem certified property all online from the comfort of your own home. Please visit www.millercollector.com and click the “Links” tab. From there you can click on the link for the services you are looking for. If you have any questions or need help navigating the site please call our office at 870-774-1001 and we will be glad to help.

I am also posting a picture of resources offered from the state of Arkansas if you believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19.

When you receive your tax statements this year you will see a total of 6 voluntary taxes. I have uploaded a copy of each ordinance to our website www.millercollector.com for you to review so you can have a better understanding of what each of these voluntary contributions will be used for. I also plan to include a letter with your statements this year with a little more detail. As always, these contributions are not mandatory but beneficial to each entity asking for support.

I can’t believe I forgot this guy. If you’ll remember we first seen him around Halloween during our pumpkin contest at the courthouse. Well since then this fella has been putting on disguises trying to bust out of the slammer. We’ve been told he first tried to slip out as the Thanksgiving turkey (not a wise choice) and now he’s trying to pass as one of Santa’s helpers 🤦🏼‍♀️ Thank goodness our Miller County Deputies are wise to his tricks and are keeping eyes on him at all times. I hear they’ve even had to move him into the wardens office for supervision!!! 😂
