The Texas City Fire Marshal wants to remind you:

Summer storms can develop quickly, and lightning is one of the most dangerous weather hazards.
If you hear thunder, take it seriously.

⚡ Go indoors immediately
⚡ Stay away from water
⚡ Avoid open areas and tall trees
⚡ Wait at least 30 minutes after the last thunder before returning outside

Remember:
If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Stay weather aware and stay safe, Texas City!

Theo made his rounds at Station 1.

As many of our firefighters know, Theo takes his station visits very seriously.

His payment requirements are simple:

✔️ Head scratches
✔️ Belly rubs
✔️ Ear scratches
✔️ Unlimited attention

Failure to comply may result in additional petting fees.

Fortunately, Eng. Carlson was able to settle his account. 😎

The Texas City Fire Marshal wants to remind you:

Hurricane season is here, and now is the time to prepare, not when a storm is already in the Gulf.
Every Texas City household should have an emergency kit ready before severe weather threatens our area.
Include:

• Water
• Extra batteries
• Flashlights
• A first aid kit
• A way to receive weather alerts

Take a few minutes today to review your emergency plan, gather supplies, and make sure your family knows what to do if a storm approaches.

Know your plan. Stay informed. Be ready.

Stay safe, Texas City!

A big thank you to our friends who stopped by during EMS Week to celebrate with our firefighters.

From the creative signs and decorations to the station tours and fire truck photos, we had a great time and truly appreciated the support.

Thank you HCA Healthcare for stopping by and for the pictures!

The Texas City Fire Marshal wants you to remember:

Toddlers can drown in as little as 1–2 inches of water.

After playtime is over:

✅ Drain kiddie pools completely
✅ Turn them upside down when possible
✅ Store them out of reach when not in use

A few extra minutes today can help prevent a tragedy tomorrow.

Stay safe, Texas City!

We made the paper!

We were honored to support CASA of Galveston County's Passion for Fashion event and are proud to see some familiar faces featured in the Galveston County Daily News last weekend!

We thought we'd share a few more moments from the event. Thank you to CASA and everyone involved for allowing us to be part of such a wonderful evening supporting children and families throughout our community.
