I-35 closed at Texas state line Tuesday night

All lanes of southbound I-35 will be closed just south of the Texas state line from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday for a TxDOT I-35 expansion project. Traffic will be diverted to the I-35 frontage road. For questions about this project, contact TxDOT at 940-665-5312.

Drivers should expect delays and use caution in the work zone.

🥵 HOT WEATHER = HOT CALLS 🚒🚓

These temperatures are no joke, and while most of us are trying to stay cool, our first responders are still out there answering the call.

When a fire breaks out or a wreck happens, firefighters, police officers, EMS, and other emergency personnel may be out in this heat for hours at a time. We’re sweating, working, carrying equipment, directing traffic, working crashes, fighting fires, and doing whatever is needed to keep our community safe.

With that in mind, our Fire Department and Police Department are in need of Gatorade, water, snacks, and coolers to help keep our first responders hydrated and fueled while they’re working in these extreme temperatures.

If you would like to donate to the Fire Department, Police Department, or both, we would truly appreciate it! ❤️

Even something as simple as a case of Gatorade, bottled water, snacks, or a cooler can make a BIG difference.

I-35 narrows to one lane near Marietta, Thackerville nightly Tuesday through Sunday
Northbound and southbound I-35 will narrow to one lane in each direction between SH-32 in Marietta and SH-153 in Thackerville from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday and continuing nightly through Sunday for striping

Southbound I-35 will narrow to one lane between SH-32 in Marietta and SH-152 in Thackerville from 7 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday continuing nightly through Tuesday for striping.

From ODOT: Northbound I-35 will be narrowed to one lane near Winstar Blvd./Rogers Rd. in Thackerville, Love Co. from 8pm Tuesday to 8am Wednesday for striping. Drivers should use extra caution in the work zone and expect delays.
