Afternoon cousins!!! Pull up a comfortable rockin' chair and let's spend a little time together on the porch. It's about 77 degrees here, cloudy and a little light rain every now and then. I look out at these beautiful trees and hear God's precious birds just singin' away and my heart is just so full of love for our Lord, my family, our mountain, for my ancestors and for each of yall. I'm so proud of where we come from, so honored to have my ancestors' blood run through my veins and to be who I am because of them. We are so blessed, cousins!!!! Our kinfolk didn't have an easy life, but they were strong willed and determined to make a life on our beloved mountain, and they were and STILL ARE good people!
I know a lot of yall cousins have already seen this, but I needed to sit on the porch with yall today and tell the ones that haven't seen this that our beautiful mountain is in "the spotlight" once again. This time our missing cousin James Walker is mentioned in this article and hopefully this will light a fire under somebody and make people come forward with information that leads to him so he can be brought home to his grieving family. Love yall, cousins!!!
