One hundred and twenty-seven years ago today, our little community witnessed the worst train wreck in it's history. Today we remember and pay our respect to those who lost their lives, those who survived and lived with the horrible memories of that early morning disaster, and to those who rescued, rendered help, and cleaned up the wreckage. You will never be forgotten!

This morning's ceremony was unbelievable...A moment of silence as the sound of Amazing Grace was played on the bagpipes by the creek...A prayer was ending just as a train slowly passed over the place where tragedy had struck...and tiny white blooms fell from the sky like ashes from the burning train would have fallen almost 126 years ago...what awesome timing the good Lord has!!!
