The 47 Precinct Q-Team continues to address quality-of-life concerns and traffic violations throughout the community. During a recent enforcement operation, officers issued 52 summonses and removed 50 vehicles from the roadway through towing enforcement actions.

These efforts help improve public safety, maintain orderly streets, and enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors throughout the precinct.

The 47th Precinct Crime Prevention Officer, along with our Community Affairs Officer, conducted an informative safety presentation and live demonstrations for older adults. The presentation focused on personal safety, crime prevention, and awareness of jewelry scams that may target seniors.

We were also joined by fellow Crime Prevention Officers from commands across the Bronx, who helped reinforce important safety tips and shared ways residents can better protect themselves and their property.

The 47th Precinct extends its sincere appreciation to the PBA for its advocacy and support in honoring Detective Didarul Islam.

Detective Islam began his career in School Safety before becoming a Police Officer, serving this city with dedication, courage, and pride. The Didarul Islam Police Recruitment Act recognizes members who have followed similar career paths, including those who served in School Safety, Traffic, the Cadet Corps, or Corrections before becoming Police Officers.

This legislation stands as a meaningful tribute to Detective Islam’s service, sacrifice, and legacy. We thank the PBA and all who helped make this bill a reality in honor of our fallen brother.

Our Day Tour Q Team here at the 47th Precinct assisted TED during a large-scale quality-of-life enforcement operation focused on ongoing community concerns and roadway conditions.

The operation resulted in:
• 169 summonses issued
• 24 vehicles towed
• 12 RVs towed

We are posting to make our community members aware of this opportunity after multiple requests regarding auto theft concerns.

Members of the 50th Precinct coordinated this Auto Theft Prevention Event, which is open to the public. Services include safety information, free catalytic converter etching, and steering wheel locks for qualifying vehicles while supplies last.

Once an event is hosted within the 47th Precinct, we will post the information.

Last night, officers in the 47th Precinct shut down another dangerous and illegal car meet that brought chaos, reckless driving, noise, and violence into our community.

The operation resulted in:
• 7 arrests
• 3 vehicles seized
• 2 loaded fi****ms recovered

These gatherings are not harmless entertainment. They put innocent residents, families, and motorists at risk and create an environment where serious crime follows. Reckless driving, street takeovers, illegal weapons, and disorder will not be tolerated in the 47th Precinct.

To those organizing or participating in these events: understand clearly that we will continue to identify you, arrest offenders, seize vehicles, and hold individuals accountable. Our communities deserve peace, safety, and quality of life, not lawlessness and intimidation.

Thank you to the dedicated officers and specialized units whose proactive work helped prevent further violence and keep our streets safe.
