💙 Kindness is key.

October is Bullying Prevention Month, and this month we’re reminding our community that kindness can make a big difference. A kind word, an invitation to join in, a helping hand, or simply choosing to treat others with respect can help create a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and included.

Let’s make kindness a big part of who we are—not only in October, but every month. 💙

📚 A different approach to learning in the Bronx ✨

What makes Bronx Better Learning unique is our focus on how students think—not just what they learn.

In math, students go beyond memorizing formulas to build number sense, explain their reasoning, solve challenging problems, and make connections.

It’s not just about getting the right answer—it’s about awakening the learner within. ✨

Today is both and ! ✨📚

At BBL, math is more than numbers on a page—it’s about making connections, asking questions, and telling the story of how we think.

We bring math to life with Cuisenaire Rods, giving students a hands-on way to explore number relationships, patterns, fractions, and mathematical reasoning. 🧮🌈

When students build, compare, explain, and discover with the rods, they aren’t just finding answers—they’re telling their own math stories.

Here’s to celebrating the curiosity, creativity, and thinking that make math meaningful! 💙

BBL's Back to School Night was memorable and informative! Last week parents had a chance to meet face-to-face with BBL educators and start off the school year right, in partnership with teachers! We know this is going to be a great year ahead. We can't wait to see everything our students will accomplish and look forward to working together with famlies to ensure our children thrive!
