Directions For Our Youth DFOY is a non-profit youth development organization that provides programming in underserved areas of NYC for young people enrolled in grades K-12.

DFOY engages youth as active partners in their own development as they seek to become thriving, self sufficient adults and agents of change within their local and global communities.

Today, Juneteenth, marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history.
At DFOY, we recognize that empowering young people means fostering spaces where history is acknowledged, voices are valued, and future leaders are inspired to create positive change in their communities.
As we celebrate freedom, we also reflect on the ongoing pursuit of equity, opportunity, and justice for all.
Together, we continue to uplift, educate, and empower the next generation.
