Every month, community comes together at PSS Highbridge Older Adult Center.

Through our partnership with Lovewinsfoodpantry, we're proud to help provide fresh food and groceries to older adults and families, making healthy, nutritious meals more accessible while strengthening the connections that bring our neighborhood together.

Happy Independence Day from PSS!

This year, we celebrate a remarkable milestone: 250 years of American independence.

As we honor our nation's history, we also celebrate the people who continue to shape its future. Older adults have built families, strengthened neighborhoods, served their communities, and passed on traditions that continue to inspire generations.

Today is a time to reflect with gratitude, celebrate with loved ones, and recognize that our greatest strength has always been our people and the communities we create together.

Eight PSS older adult centers are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am to 6pm to provide relief from the heat for the city's most vulnerable. We are grateful to NYC Department for the Aging and Commissioner Lisa Scott-McKenzie for funding this essential service.

PSS was honored to show off the newly renovated computer lab at PSS Highbridge Center for NYC Aging Commissioner Dr. Lisa Scott-McKenzie and her team. Instructor Julio Melo-Ramos gives classes every Friday in Spanish and English. The commissioner took the time to speak with members during her visit. PSS Highbridge is also a NYC Cooling Center.
