JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking individuals to fill three positions in Career & Technical Education (CTE) teaching roles in the following:

- Computer Science and Technology
- Health Occupations
- Fabrication/Welding.

No prior teaching experience is required; support and alternative licensure pathways are available for qualified candidates with a relevant industry background.

REQUIREMENTS
*2000 hours of documented or work experience in the industry.
*Willing to obtain a valid Oregon Teaching License and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon.
*Must be eligible for Career and Technical Teaching licensure.
*Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
*Must be willing to obtain a current recognized first aid card.

PREFERENCES
*Associates degree or higher with a major in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or related field to the industry.
*Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance.
*Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, appropriate instructional subjects.

JOB DUTIES
*Develop and deliver engaging Career & Technical Education (CTE) instruction that connects industry practices, technical skills, and real-world applications to student learning.
*Prepare lesson plans, hands-on activities, and assessments aligned with course standards, workforce readiness, and district curriculum goals.
*Create a safe, inclusive, and professional classroom/lab environment that promotes student achievement, career exploration, and employability skills.
*Utilize industry-relevant technology, tools, and instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles and student success.
*Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback to students, parents, and school staff.
*Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations, professional standards, and positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
*Participate in professional development and maintain current knowledge of industry trends, certifications, and emerging technologies related to the CTE program area.

PAY
*$49,643-$99,362 (PERS); This is a 12-month salaried position with a work schedule aligned to the traditional school year calendar (August-June), allowing for extended holiday and summer breaks.

HOURS
Full-time; Monday-Friday during regular school hours, following the district academic calendar (August-June).

A non-profit employer in Hood River is seeking a registered intern or associate clinician (Clinical Social Worker Associate (CSWA) and/or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) to provide trauma-focused mental health services to youth and families in the Columbia Gorge area. This is a meaningful opportunity to do clinical work through prevention, comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and to provide individual and group therapy with a supportive team and clinical supervision. Supervision toward licensure is included. You'll work within a collaborative, mission-driven team committed to National Children's Alliance accreditation standards at no cost.

REQUIREMENTS
*Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, or related field
*Registered with the Oregon Board (OBLPCT or BLSW) and actively working toward licensure
*Familiarity with DSM-5-TR diagnoses
*Must pass criminal history background check per Oregon ORS 181.536'181.537

PREFERENCES
*Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
*Experience with trauma-impacted youth and families
*Candidates that are Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Doctor of Psychology with Oregon licensure are invited to apply to learn more!

Need a flexible evening schedule that fits around school, another job, or seasonal work? This Seasonal Laundry Processor position runs from June through September. You'll handle high volumes of commercial laundry, operate industrial machines safely, inspect and organize items for pickup or delivery, and help keep the workspace efficient and organized. No prior experience is required; full training is provided.

For motivated candidates, this position can grow into a full-time year-round role with opportunities for advancement into leadership and supervisory positions. Build skills, join a team, and help keep businesses running smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS
*Applicants must be 18 or older, as Oregon law prohibits minors from operating or working near industrial laundry machinery.
*Standing, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 50 pounds throughout the shift, as well as safely operating industrial laundry equipment in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERENCES
*Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, folding, and dry-cleaning techniques.

JOB DUTIES
*Handle large volumes of linens, uniforms, towels, and other business-related laundry items according to established procedures.
*Use industrial washing, drying, folding, and pressing machines efficiently, ensuring proper settings for different types of fabrics and materials.
*Check all laundry for cleanliness, stains, damages, and ensure items meet commercial standards before packaging.
*Sort items by customer account, type, or priority; organize cleaned items for pickup, delivery, or customer drop-off.
*Ensure smooth operations by collaborating with team members to prioritize orders and meet delivery schedules.
*Prepare items for accurate pickup and drop-off, including labeling, bagging, or bundling commercial orders.
*Keep work areas, machines, and storage spaces clean and organized; follow all safety guidelines and regulations for industrial laundry operations.

HOURS
*30-40 hours per week; evening shift starts at 5:00pm

PAY
*$17.50 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience
