Private Hyer is a resident of Goldendale, WA and a current senior at Goldendale High School, graduating this year. He enlisted with the MOS of 11X (Infantry Recruit). 💪

PVT Hyer will be attending the Future Soldier Preparatory Course before beginning his training as an Infantry Recruit. This course focuses on providing dietary and nutrition information to recruits, and kickstarting their physical fitness regiments prior to training, ensuring that they are able to make the rigorous standards of enlistment.

PVT Hyer’s motivations for enlisting include a desire to serve, and setting a solid foundation for his future, as well as “getting comfortable being uncomfortable.”

Private Farrell is a resident of Dufur, OR and a graduate of Dufur School class of 2020. He enlisted with the MOS of 25H (Network Communications Specialist).💻🖥️

PV2 Farrell was also promoted before leaving to training by passing a physical fitness test, and completing introductory classes to basic training, netting him an almost $400 a month pay increase.

Did we mention he got a sweet contract incentive of airborne? Nothing better than learning how to jump out of airplanes and getting paid for it! 🪂✈️
