Friends of The Dalles-Wasco County Library The Friends of The Dalles-Wasco County Library supports the Library by volunteering and raising money for special purchases and activities.

The Friends of The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library supports the Library and the delivery of its services through activities such as raising money for special purchases and events, and volunteering in the Library. It is a 501(c)3 non­profit organization. New members are always welcome. Application forms are in the Library. The Friends’ Board usually meets monthly, except during the summer. Meeti

ngs are typically held in the Library. Officers are elected during the annual meeting in September. Members and others interested in the work of the Friends are welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings. The Friends of the Library accepts donations of gently used books, CDs and DVDs all year. Donations not added to the library’s collection become part of a used book sale held at various times during the year. Donated items are also available for purchase any time the library is open. They are located on shelves in the hallway to the library meeting room.

The spring book sale is underway! Come fill a bag (or two or three) at The Book Barn, in the upper parking lot of The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library until noon.
