I just earned a triple endorsement from the Oregon Chiefs of Police Association, Trooper PAC, and Oregon’s Sheriffs. These organizations represent sheriffs, police chiefs, and state troopers across Oregon. This is on top of my earlier endorsement from the Oregon Coalition of Police and Sheriffs.

Salem needs a State Representative who stands with law enforcement, not against them. That’s who I am. I’ll keep showing up, listening, and fighting for the resources our officers, deputies, and troopers need to keep House District 52 safe.

The urban/rural divide is a perpetual problem in Oregon and in other states. Oregon's rural counties have no voice in Salem, where urban representatives run roughshod over rural interests in favor of policies designed for urban needs. One idea is to structure the state legislature similar to that of the US legislative body with representation based both on population and counties. This idea is the opposite of the DSA idea of abolishing the US Senate and giving all the power to urban population centers.

Sponsors have filed the paperwork for an Oregon constitutional amendment with the hope of putting it on the ballot in 2030. They're calling it Oregon Representation For All Amendment.

The proposal would shift the Oregon Senate toward equal county representation (analogous to the U.S. Senate’s equal state representation) while keeping the House more population-based and expanding overall legislative size.
