The Community Wildfire Defense Grant program is currently available to help you prepare your home for fire season. This no-cost assistance is designed to reduce wildfire risks around your property and keep our community safe.

Services Provided:
- Tree Limbing: Removing lower branches to prevent fire from climbing into the canopy.
- Debris Removal: Clearing away flammable materials and yard waste.
- Defensible Space Work: Creating a buffer between your home and surrounding vegetation.

🌿 Wasco County SWCD Fall Tree Sale – Plants Still Available!

The Wasco County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) still has plants available for purchase from the Fall Tree Sale!

Those interested can stop by the The Dalles Service Center, located at 2325 River Rd, The Dalles, Oregon, during regular business hours:
🕗 Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Plants are available on a first-come, first-served basis until inventory is sold out, so don’t wait too long to pick up your favorites!
