Athens Soil and Water Conservation District The Athens SWCD was organized in 1946 for the purpose of planning and carrying out natural resources conservation programs.

The District is a political subdivision of the State of Ohio and is governed by a board of supervisors, elected by the landowners.

Despite the rainy weather, the Athens County Grazing Council will still hold their August meeting / pasture walk this evening. Dress to be outside, although we do have an indoor facility to get out of the weather if needed. Guest speaker is Bob Hendershot, ODA Grazing Specialist. We hope to see you there!

Deadline to pre-register for this event is Monday, August 17th. We hope you can join us in keeping our river clean! Lunch will be provided and participants will receive a t-shirt while supplies last.
