It's here! Our very first exhibit on our new art wall!๐Ÿ˜ We have been so excited to share this with the community! Stop by Brady Library to view the ๐™๐™ž๐™ข๐™š ๐˜ฝ๐™š๐™›๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™๐™š๐™ญ๐™–๐™จ exhibit, detailing the paleoindian people and animals that inhabited the Texas region thousands of years ago. Perfect timing for our ๐™๐™ฃ๐™š๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™– ๐™Ž๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ฎ Summer Reading archeology theme! The exhibit is on loan now through July 25th, 2026.

Thank you to Humanities Texas and Texas Department of Transportation for creating and distributing this fascinating traveling exhibit to share with our Texas communities.โค

All ages are invited to join in the fun June 1st through July 25th at your ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ด๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐˜† ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ฆ๐˜†๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—บ libraries by participating in special events and a reading challenge with incentives. Prizes are available to those who reach their goal by the end of the Program.

This yearโ€™s theme is ๐™๐™ฃ๐™š๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™– ๐™Ž๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ฎโ„ข and will include free shows with performers including magicians and puppeteers, arts and crafts, movies and games, and more exciting events! Events are free and open to the public. If any individual requires an accommodation to participate in the library events, programs, or classes, please contact the host library at least 3 days before the program/event.

It's that time of year again! Schools are getting out and Summer Reading is coming soon!โค๐ŸŽ‰ If you've stopped by lately, you'll have noticed we've been busy decorating with a Jurassic twist! ๐™๐™ฃ๐™š๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™– ๐™Ž๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ฎ is this year's national theme to encourage readers everywhere to dig deep into a good book and explore all that libraries offer their communities! ๐Ÿฆ–๐Ÿฆ•

Starting June 1, all age readers (yes, adults too!) can log their reading in the free Reader Zone App (use code 3546a) or pick up a paper log at Brady Library. Each book read is an entry to win gift cards and coupons donated from local businesses! Everyone that reaches their reading goal for their age group can visit the library to redeem for a free book to keep. NOTE: participation is not allowed at multiple library locations.

Registration is already underway in the Reader Zone App: use code 3546a. Start logging your reading June 1st for every book read (or listened to) through July 25th! All books count: ebooks, print books, thrift books, library books, graphic novels, audiobooks, and more--as long as you're reading, we call that a WIN!โค
