Effective Monday, September 21, 2020 all retail, office, manufacturing, libraries, museums and gyms may operate up to a 75% occupancy. Hospitals may return to normal elective surgeries. Effective on Thursday, September 24, 2020, senior living facilities, long term care facilities may reopen for visitation.

New Fall Activities in The Woodlands Township
After months of deliberation and evaluation, The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department has decided to cancel The Haunting at Bear Branch for 2020.
With the production of this event including planning, trail construction and hosting over 350+ volunteers and thousands of visitors each year, it was determined to continue to uphold the integrity of the event and out of an abundance of caution that it was best to forgo The Haunting at Bear Branch this year.
The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department is presenting alternative Halloween and fall program options that can better accommodate safe practices and social distancing during this unprecedented time.

As part of The Woodlands Township #SitSafe initiative, the capacity of each Woodlands Express bus is limited to create the proper spacing amongst our riders. Additional buses will be on standby during normal hours of operation to ensure seating capacity is available for all runs.

As part of The Woodlands Township #SitSafe initiative, trolleys will be wiped with disinfectants in the middle of the service day and will undergo a thorough cleaning process at the end of each day. We will continue to maintain thorough and frequent cleaning schedules on our trolleys for the safety of our passengers.

Current Face Covering Orders
Although Montgomery County is not enforcing the face covering order, we encourage you to wear a face covering when out in public to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Harris County is issuing a fine for non-compliance. You are required to wear a face covering indoors at all businesses.
Office and business occupancy restrictions in The Woodlands
Governor Abbott’s current statewide order restricts access to non-essential businesses to 50% capacity. We ask that you please support our local businesses and retailers and follow all CDC recommendations on social distancing, face coverings and hand washing/sanitizing.

Montgomery County does not have a restriction on outdoor gatherings. Harris County outdoor gatherings are restricted to 10 people or less. If you do attend a gathering, please social distance, wear a face covering and sanitize your hands frequently.

The Woodlands Township introduces new elliptical stand-up paddleboards
The Woodlands Township is now offering pedalboards or “elliptical stand-up paddleboards (SUPs)” as a new and exciting rental option at Riva Row Boat House. Each elliptical SUP can be rented for just $30/hour. Riva Row Boat House is currently open from 9 a.m. until sunset, with the last boat going out one hour before sunset. Both Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
