Curbside yard waste pickup has resumed the normal service schedule. Delays are expected due to heavy volume accrued for last week's cancellation.

Residents may set out unlimited amounts of yard waste that follow guidelines defined at the following link (https://bit.ly/3uMKiMj) on their next service day or take excess yard waste to the locations below.

Waste Management drivers will service remaining homes on missed routes the next morning. If your yard trimmings were missed, please leave your items at the curb and contact Waste Management at 1(800)800-5804 or [email protected].

The Township’s storm debris dumpster service ends at 6 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2021. Dumpsters are located at three locations in The Woodlands:

Curbside collection of extra trash bags (bags set out in addition to the trash cart) continues indefinitely on regularly scheduled service days. All bags must be affixed with an extra trash pink tag. Tags may be purchased for $1.75 at Kroger in The Woodlands and Township facilities.

Please note, a different truck will visit each house separate from the regular trash truck to pick up additional bags. All routes run until 7 p.m. If your bags are not picked up by the following morning, please contact Waste Management at (800) 800-5804 or [email protected] to report a missed pickup OR you may take your additional bags to one of the three Township dumpster sites. Waste Management will continue with standard collection of yard trimmings and bulk items. Yard trimmings may placed curbside in unlimited amounts. Please follow all guidelines to ensure service. No call is required; service occurs automatically.

Bulk items (singular items too large to fit in your trash cart) can be collected curbside at no cost by calling Waste Management at (800) 800-5804. Two business days advance notice is required. Please follow all guidelines to ensure service.

Waste Management reports delays due to increased volumes caused by storm related delays last week. The goal is to complete routes daily, however some homes may be carried over and serviced the following morning.

Beginning Feb 7, 2021 in THE WOODLANDS! The Woodlands, TX – The Sterling Ridge Village Association (SRVA) has announced today that it will sponsor the community’s first-ever Artisans & Farmers Market beginning on Sunday, February 7, 2021, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. This Market will feature local area retailers, farmers, specialty produce and food purveyors as well as arts & crafts, novelty, and other interesting vendors. “In 2020, The Woodlands was ranked as one of the top five places to live in America as compared to 228 other cities according to niche.com, a website devoted to tracking the best places to live and raise a family,” said Thomas Schwarzkopf, President of the SRVA. He continued by saying, “Our board wanted to start the new year off with a special series of events that promotes all of the wonderful activities in the Sterling Ridge Village community and The Woodlands, especially after all of the issues that we had to deal with last year.
