*ATTN: Please clean-up after your pets on the courthouse lawn!*

This summer, the courthouse lawn is filled with kids participating in our reading programs at the Library and other activities. Because they are actively playing on the grass, it is absolutely vital that all dog owners clean up after their pets. We love seeing community members enjoy the courthouse lawn!

IMPORTANT DATES FOR MAY 12, 2026
PRIMARY ELECTION

April 27 - Last day to register to vote online (by midnight), at the DMV, at DHHS, at the Department of Education, via agent, via deputy registrar or by mail (voter registration application must be postmarked by April 27, 2026.

May 1 - Last day to register to vote in person at the county election office (6 p.m. local time) and the last day to submit an early voting application to request a ballot be mailed to the voter.

May 11 - Last day to vote in person at the county election office.

May 12 - Election Day and the last day county election offices will accept any early voting ballots for counting - whether delivered by mail, by agent, in person, or by secure drop box.
