Our TDFR crews had a wonderful time helping out TEAM SHERIFF with Camp Explorer today! Children ages 8-11 had the opportunity to learn about some of the tools firefighters use, the importance of working smoke alarms, and why every family should have a meeting place outside the home. Last night students from Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue, St Elmo Irvington Fire Department and Dauphin Island Fire Rescue took their final exam for Alabama Fire College’s Fire & Life Safety Educator I certification course.

These students dedicated their entire weekend to furthering their education, strengthening their departments, and ultimately making their communities safer. Their commitment and perseverance throughout the class are a testament to the passion and professionalism they bring to the fire service.

Congratulations to each of them and thank you for your dedication to protecting and educating the communities you serve!
