02/11/2026

At 11:54am our crews along with Theodore Dawes Fire Rescueand St.Elmo-Irvington Fire Department were dispatched to the 10000 block of pioneer road for a report of a residential fire.

Engine 2 and FR 20 arrived on scene of a single story wood frame brick viener structure with fire and smoke showing from the front. Crews stretched an 1 3/4 handline and began extinguishing the fire. Theodore and st elmo fire arrived moments later and assisted with fire suppression. Unfortunately the home is a total loss. There were no civilians injuries.

At 15:35pm we was dispatched to the area of Heron Bay Loop E and Washington Ave in (Alabama Port Fire District) for a report of a woods fire in the area.

Fowl River Brush 3 Arrived on scene with a large area wood fire threatening several structures. Due to limited access for fire vehicles and the rapid spread of fire, Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue, St.Elmo-Irvington Fire Department , Grand Bay Fire District 4, Alabama Forestry Commission, were dispatched to assist. Crews worked for several hours to contain and bring this fire under control. Approximately 100 acres were burned.

Fowl River along with Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue were dispatched to the 10000 block of Jim busby road for a report of a residential fire.

Crews arrived on scene and found a 2 story home with flames through the roof. Due to the size of the home additional departments were requested, Bayou Fire Department and Dauphin Island FRD. Unfortunately the home was a total loss.

Fowl River along with Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue and St.Elmo-Irvington Fire Department were dispatched to the 11000 block of Anne Ln for a report of a structure fire.

Crews arrived on scene to find a manufactured home and a camper with heavy fire showing. Crews preformed an interior attack to extinguish the fire.

There was one civilian injured on scene and was transported by Mcems to an area hospital.

With the level of success that the Alabama Firefighters Training Foundation has had within the State of Alabama as well as the amount of inquires from other states for us to expand into other areas of the country, the decision has been made to expand our efforts nationally.

The Alabama Firefighters Training Foundation is expanding to the National Firefighters Training Foundation.

We are a 501(c)3 non- profit organization whose primary goal is to ensure that experience based training is affordable and accessible to all firefighters nationwide.

We originally formed and will continue to operate as a joint effort between Port City Fire Training, Fire Life Training, and Top Floor Tactics.

Our training goals within the State of Alabama will remain the same but in addition to our Alabama goals we will be extending our training programs nationwide.

Our goals now also include providing our conferences and our “drill night” trainings nationwide.

With this expansion, our board of directors has grown as well:
