This Peruvian apple cactus fruit is a beautiful reminder that the work you don’t see often produces the sweetest harvest.

These fruits started as flowers that bloomed for just one night. If the flowers were successfully pollinated during that short window, the petals withered while the o***y at the base of the flower begins developing into this beautiful sweet fruit 😋

Our Junior Farmers at Desert Ridge Academy pulled these beautiful carrots straight from the soil! 🥕

There is something powerful about watching students experience where real food comes from. These carrots started as tiny seeds, were cared for week after week, and now the students get to enjoy the reward of their patience and effort.

Growing food teaches more than gardening… it teaches responsibility, consistency, and appreciation for the process.
