In April, the District Team conducted an investigation regarding illegal fi****ms. An additional suspect was identified as possessing counterfeit luxury merchandise. On May 22, 2026, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the city of Indio.  During the search warrant, 293 pieces of counterfeit luxury merchandise were located, including shoes, handbags, wallets, perfumes and clothing.  Most of the counterfeit items were branded with various high-end labels, such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Coach, Burberry and Christian Dior.  The suspect was charged with intentionally selling and knowingly possessing counterfeit trademark registered items for sale and booked into John Benoit Detention Center.

🚨 WELCOME TO THERMAL STATION 🚨

Last night started with Family Night giving the opportunity for the families and support system of our new Deputy Sheriff Trainees to visit the station, meet department personnel, and learn more about the training journey ahead. It's a chance to better understand the commitment of a law enforcement career and recognize the important role family support plays in every trainee's success.

We wish them the best of luck as they begin their Field Training Phase.

Avenue 50 (Monroe → Madison) is closed through May 4.

🚗 Expect delays on:
Jefferson, Washington & Monroe (southbound from I-10), Avenue 48, Hwy 111, and nearby I-10 exits.

⛔ Weekend closures (Fri–Mon):
Avenue 49, Avenue 50 (Madison → Jackson), Hjorth St, and Madison St (49 → 52).

🗺️ Alternate routes:
• North/South: Washington, Jackson, Calhoun, Golf Center Pkwy
• East/West: Hwy 111, Fred Waring, Miles Ave, Ave 54
