Important Update on LIEAP Applications
[Nov. 13, 2025] While Congress has passed a budget and the federal government has reopened, the State of Wyoming has not yet received its funding allocation for the 2025/2026 season for the Wyoming Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP). As a result, while SNAP benefits have been restored, the temporary pause on approving LIEAP applications remains in place.
Interested households should apply now.
Despite the continued pause on approvals, Wyoming households in need of assistance should still apply for LIEAP online at lieapwyo.org or call (800) 246-4221. It is crucial that applicants ensure their submissions are complete and include all required documentation. Submitting a complete application now will secure an applicant's place in the queue. Once Wyoming receives its federal funding, our team will begin processing applications for eligibility in the order they were received. Taking this step will help expedite the distribution of benefits when funds become available.
Applicants need to check that all documents are submitted.
Applicants need to double-check that all necessary documents are submitted with their application. Currently, 900 submitted applications need additional information before they can be reviewed.
Applicants need to submit their draft applications.
Applicants need to make sure to finish their application and hit submit. Currently, 1,095 applications are in draft form.
We ask for your assistance in sharing this information within your communities. We appreciate your patience and partnership as we navigate this transitional period. We will provide another update as soon as we have confirmation of our funding allocation
Sincerely,
The Wyoming LIEAP Team
