We Still Have Work to Do.

Over the past six years, I have had the honor and privilege of serving as your Thibodaux City Marshal - Ward Two. Together, we have worked to improve public safety, strengthen community partnerships, enhance court security, modernize equipment, and expand services to the citizens of our community.

While I am proud of what we have accomplished, I believe our work is far from finished.

That is why I am humbly asking for your support and vote as I seek re-election as your Thibodaux City Marshal on November 3, 2026.

My commitment remains the same: to provide professional, transparent, and accountable leadership while ensuring that every citizen's voice is heard and respected. I will continue working to build trust, improve services, support our deputies and staff, and foster open communication between the Marshal's Office and the people we serve.

As your City Marshal, I have always put service before politics and people before personal interests. Moving forward, I look forward to continuing to work alongside our citizens, community leaders, businesses, schools, faith-based organizations, and local elected officials to make Thibodaux an even safer and stronger community for future generations.

Some of the accomplishments during my administration include:

● Establishing a professional Uniformed Deputy Marshal Program
● Placing marked patrol vehicles into service for increased visibility and public safety
● Providing handicap-accessible transportation for both adult and juvenile inmates
● Implementing a modern law enforcement database system for report writing, records management, and prisoner booking
● Reducing unnecessary arrests by allowing eligible individuals to clear warrants through summonses and new court dates
● Providing hurricane relief and emergency assistance services to residents during times of need
● Unlocking more than 550 vehicles at no charge to citizens since taking office
● Assisting with traffic control and public safety operations during local high school graduations and community events
● Awarding $6,000 in scholarships from my personal funds to deserving local high school graduates pursuing higher education

While I am proud of these accomplishments, there is still work to be done. I look forward to meeting all of you along the campaign trail to share my vision for the future and continuing to serve the citizens of Thibodaux with transparency, integrity, and dedication.

Thank you for your trust, your friendship, and your continued support. Again, I respectfully ask for your vote on November 3, 2026, so together we can continue moving our community forward.

Calvin Cooks, Sr.
Thibodaux City Marshal

Today, June 15, 2026, Marshal Calvin Cooks, Sr. visited the students attending the ELearning Academy Thibodaux Summer Camp and, of course, he came bearing some cool treats! 😋

During his visit, Marshal Cooks spoke with the students about the important role and responsibilities of the Thibodaux City Marshal's Office. He also discussed the serious issue of bullying, encouraging students to treat others with kindness, respect, and compassion.

The students asked lots of great questions during the visit. However, several of them also decided to report Mommy and Daddy for speeding! 🚔

Fortunately for the parents, no citations will be issued today but Marshal Cooks reminded everyone that the little ones are always watching and paying attention!

🫢 "Out of the mouths of babes!" 🤣

Investing in our youth today helps build a stronger community tomorrow.

Elected officials should always be accountable to the citizens who placed their trust in them through the election process.

Public office is a position of service, not personal gain. The decisions made by elected leaders should reflect the needs, concerns, and best interests of the people they represent and not their own political, financial, or personal agendas.

Citizens deserve transparency, honesty, and leadership that puts the community first. When elected officials lose sight of their responsibility to the public and begin serving their own self-interests, they undermine the trust that is essential to effective government.

Accountability ensures that those entrusted with public office remain focused on serving the people and fulfilling the promises they made to their constituents.

Public service should always be about the people and not politics, power, or personal benefit...GoVote! 🗳
