This closing is a special one for South Louisiana.

We are proud to announce that the former Danos office facility at 13083 LA Highway 308 in Larose has been leased to the Virtual Academy of Lafourche (VAL).

There is a tremendous amount of South Louisiana history connected to this property.

Danos began in Larose in 1947 and grew from those local roots into one of the great success stories in our energy-services industry. Hank and Al Danos took responsibility for the family business as young men and, together with generations of employees, customers and community partners, helped build an organization whose reach eventually extended far beyond Lafourche Parish.

This building was part of that story.

Now, it gets to be part of another one.

The 15,300 SF facility will become home to the Virtual Academy of Lafourche, where its purpose will shift from helping build a South Louisiana business to helping educate and develop South Louisiana's next generation.

We can't think of a more appropriate next chapter for a property that has meant so much to this community.

We are very proud to have played a role in bringing this transaction together, and we sincerely appreciate the trust placed in our firm by the people involved.

Congratulations to Danos and the Virtual Academy of Lafourche. Here’s to honoring where we've been while investing in where we're going.

The Virtual Academy of Lafourche (Thibodaux) is pleased to invite parents and guardians of students in grades 5 – 8 to our Middle School Open House. It will be held on Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to connect with teachers and administration and learn more about what your child will be studying this school year. We look forward to seeing you and partnering with you for a successful school year.
