On 8/26/26, RLWD Administrator Tammy Audette, HDR Engineer Nate Dalager, and Jim Graham from US Fish and Wildlife Service testified before the Lessard Sam Outdoor Heritage Council in St Paul for the second phase of funding.
The funds will be used for the Mud River Enhancement Project. Below is the updated fact sheet for the project.

Testing confirmed a potentially harmful blue-green algae bloom in Cross Lake (Polk County) at Tilberg park on July 8, 2026. Microcystin toxins maxed-out our test kit, so they are 10 ppb or greater.

A mile-long streambank stabilization on the Clearwater River is designed to restore fish passage and habitat, and improve water quality in a 35-mile-long upstream stretch drained and straightened in the 1950s. Link to June Snapshots newsletter article: https://buff.ly/YYmFDIv

We're currently accepting offers for Continuous CRP through March 20, 2026. General CRP enrollment will run from March 9, 2026, through April 17, 2026. We'll announce dates for Grassland CRP signup in the near future.
