Tuesday, September 1st - potential traffic delays on Greenwood St East
Minnkota power has a scheduled infrastructure improvement project that will be occurring on Tuesday, September 1st on Greenwood Street between Spruce Avenue and Hanson Dr. that could result in eastbound traffic delays. Motorists are warned to use caution or choose alternative routes. Work is scheduled to begin approximately 8 am.

The City of Thief River Falls Water Systems collected lead and copper samples from 20 residents with known lead services in August 2026. Six (6) samples came back exceeding the action level of 15 parts per billion. Those residents have been individually notified on 8/27/2026. The City of Thief River Falls is currently replacing the identified lead and galvanized services, with plans to complete the replacements in November 2026.

The City of Thief River Falls is also doing a study of the corrosion control methods starting in September 2026 to identify any improved chemistry to aid in corrosion control.

Tonight is the last concert of the summer! 🎵

Join us tonight for one last concert of the summer, with classic country from The Snowmen! 7:00 at the Floyd B. Olson Park Gazebo, or at the Eagles in case of rain. Thanks to the City of TRF, Ronnings, Northern State Bank of Thief River Falls, Sanford Health, and Garden Valley Technologies for their support of music in the park all summer!

‼️PSA: Last night, an air relief value failed causing a sewer break at 160th St NE. The break was shut down and repaired. The MN Duty Officer was notified, and service is back to normal.

The community picnic at Lion's Park is tonight from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
It's a beautiful evening to come out for dinner and support the park!

The Thief River Falls Lion's Club will be hosting a community picnic at Lion's Park this Thursday, August 20th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips & beverages will be served with free will donations accepted. The City of TRF thanks the Lion's Club for their efforts in sponsoring and fundraising for park improvements at one of TRF's most popular parks!

MOVIE IN THE PARK IS TONIGHT! THE SANDLOT will be shown at HARTZ PARK @ DUSK! It's a beautiful night to enjoy this special event! The screen is up, the park has been sprayed and freshly mowed & concessions will be available.
