I won 1st place in the New Business category at the Tucker County Business Pitch Contest last week.
I cannot express how honored I am by receiving this award, because it will allow me to provide a much needed service for Tucker County at no cost to the participants!
Now I am looking for places across Tucker County to host a free caregiver workshop. My goal is about 22 of them. I want to come to all areas of the county, even the small areas. If you can get people, I will be there. I am building the list of host locations now. Workshops start in October and will run through spring, so there is no rush on picking a date. Right now I just want to know who is interested.
The workshop: 3 hours. Two hours walking through the material, one hour of open Q&A on navigating the health care system. Every person who attends leaves with a printed copy of The No BS Guide for Caregivers and The Companion Workbook, plus a Tucker County resource list. That is a $31 value, and it is free.
What I need from a host: a location and an audience. That is it.
A room with tables and chairs, and your people invited. Everything else is on me. The workshop is fully funded, so it costs you nothing. I bring the books, workbooks, handouts, name tags, pens, and water. I set up and I clean up. All I ask is that you announce it twice, two weeks out and the week of, and give me a rough headcount 3 days ahead.
I am looking for a minimum of 10 people per workshop and I am happy to have as many as the room will hold. I am also very flexible for dates and times, so if you are interested just reach out.
I want to get this out to all parts of Tucker County, so if you know if your organization or any organization would be interested in hosting, either reach out to me or please share this post with them.
Remember that every one of us will be a caregiver at some point in our lives. The information that I provide could also help you navigate the healthcare system as an individual as well.
Churches, senior centers, libraries, fire departments, civic clubs, community buildings, employers. If you have a room and people who care for someone, let's talk.
