I have recently found out that LIHEP will help with water bills. Contact the Rantoul Community Center for resources to help during those rough times.

Starting Monday the 27th of July the Village will be doing maintenance flushing of the water lines. It will be done 2 to 3 times each week for the next couple weeks. Discolored water is normal and should go away fairly quickly. Our apologies for this minor inconvenience while we keep our infrastructure in the best working order possible.

The lighted truck parade will be in town Saturday night! They will enter town on Main St., follow it to Commercial then head back to Rt. 45 on Central. Come out and see these beautiful trucks roll through town!

Updates will start now. ...
7:00pm just closed the ESDA building down hopefully for the night. I will continue to monitor even though the Nation Weather Service gave everyone North of Champaign the clear. If anything changes I will post and be back out. Quick side note... if you see storm spotter Danny Wines out in the green Toyota wish him a happy birthday (he is officially older today🤣).

5:30 closing the church. Still monitoring and will reopen if needed

The church is open and Casey's will allow sheltering there as well.

4:23pm the tornado warning is just south of Champaign right now

There is rotation a county over. No tornado warning yet, but we are ready.

As I posted this, a Tornado watch has been issued until 3pm. I do expect an extension of that or another one after that....
