Every small town has their pillars and the establishments that embody the heart of the community. Patti's Place is all of that and more for Thomaston. They never hesitate to support just about everything in our town. They sponsor sports teams, readily donate to PTA, and open their doors to join forces with the Ambulance Corps supplying and handing out over 2,000 hot dogs during the Light Up Thomaston event every year.

It’s our turn to return the support, and return it tenfold. While the road ahead is uncertain, we know that their strength and determination will lead them to continued success.

Our hearts are broken for their loss, as well as for American Nails, Chatham Beach, US Graphics and Moms Place. While we’ve worked most with Patti’s Place we know each and every one of you are an integral part of our community. Thomaston will rally around all of you and can’t wait to walk through the doors of your businesses once they reopen.

We’re a little late but
Merry Christmas from Light Up Thomaston!!

As you’re packing up your decorations please keep us in mind. We could use holiday baskets and table cloths for the Festival of Trees next year!
As a non-profit and a free event we rely on donations to keep us going. If you have anything you think might work for us please don’t hesitate to reach out here and we can arrange a pick up!

You can tell how long the guys work on the lights based on the amount of leaves on those trees.

It was brought to my attention that I missed some of the guys that help. I know they’re around but I don’t see them with any regularity and definitely don’t know all of their names. (It is best for all involved if I don’t climb a ladder and play with electricity!) Making sure to give credit where credit is due Steve Channels, Clare Keller, Jack DeOliviera, Al Pafefflin, and Paul Boncek also spend many days and hours out preparing the town each year for the big event!

Breakfast was often pNorthfield General Store days by Steve Channels and the Northfield General Store. Thanks for fueling the guys and helping keep the lights on!! r

Before Santa is on the roof, these guys are.

These four guys, they’ll do anything we ask… besides take a group photo.
For months leading up to Light Up they’re busy ensuring all the lights work. Without them Light Up Thomaston would just be, well, Thomaston. We’d still have a party, but it’s Santa’s magic and these lights that make the night extra special!

Every year Spruce Hill Farm donates a fresh cut tree for our gazebo. They’re in town on High Street Extension. We highly recommend getting your tree from them!
