An Open Door Adoption Agency is a Christian, not-for-profit adoption agency, founded in 1986 to provide a positive alternative for unplanned pregnancy. The agency has since expanded its role to include that of finding Christian adoptive parents for foreign orphan children. cy is a licensed adoption agency in the State of Georgia. We were initially licensed to place children for adoption through the Georgia Department of Human Services in July 1987. For the past thirty-four years, the Georgia Department of Human Services has conducted annual re-licensure audits. Our most recent re-licensure audit was performed on October 7, 2021, and our license was renewed once again. We have been Hague accredited which is required for international adoptions since 2008. The accreditation process to remain Hague accredited is very stringent and agencies must demonstrate compliance with multiple standards over a period of many years in order to retain this designation. We are also an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Our agency specializes in domestic and international adoptions. To date, 1,630 domestic children have been placed through our agency, including special needs children, and we have placed over 1,000 international children with forever families. In addition, An Open Door Adoption Agency is a proud member of the following organizations:

- National Council for Adoption (NCFA)
- Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)
- Council on Accreditation (COA)

Waiting Siblings Spotlight 💙
This special brother and sister are hoping to find a family together.

The big brother is 11, turning 12 in March. He is a bright, well-mannered boy with a strong sense of empathy and a quiet depth beyond his years. He loves staying active and eagerly joins in bike rides, swimming, and bowling. At school, his motivation has grown tremendously, and he takes pride in learning, especially when he feels trusted and valued. He has a rich vocabulary, a great sense of humor, and a gentle way with younger children. While he often appears confident and tough on the outside, what he truly longs for is someone to be close to, someone who sees him as special and important.

His little sister is 9 and is a cheerful, artistic soul. She is open, kind, and eager to connect with others. She loves to sing, dance, and perform, often creating her own choreography and jumping at the chance to express herself. At school, she is active and curious, and while learning can be challenging at times, her eagerness and creativity shine through. She dreams of a family who will love her and encourage her unique gifts.

After a period of separation, these siblings have been living together again since early 2026, and their bond is strong. He is deeply protective and caring, and she looks to him for comfort and security. Caregivers describe them as truly special children who would thrive with stability, patience, and unconditional love.

They both desire adoption and hope to find a family who will welcome them together, honor their connection, and give them the chance to heal, grow, and belong.

Considering domestic adoption? Here are a few of the requirements for families applying through Open Door Adoption:
· Married for at least three (3) years in a traditional marriage between a husband and a wife
· At least 25 years of age; and not over the age of 45
· Free of communicable disease, in good physical and mental health, and have a normal life expectancy
· Have the capacity to meet the child’s physical and emotional needs throughout his/her developmental stages of childhood and adolescence

Waiting Child 💙
This remarkable 14-year-old girl from Eastern Europe is hoping for a family to call her own.

She is in good health and developing right on track for her age. After experiencing instability and loss early in life, including the passing of her father in 2023, she has shown incredible resilience. With counseling and support, she has grown stronger, more energetic, and more hopeful about her future.

Those who know her describe her as sensitive, empathetic, and deeply caring. She forms friendships easily and often looks out for others, offering comfort and kindness to her peers. She has a gentle spirit and a big heart.

She is currently in 7th grade and is an average student. Her past academic challenges are tied to a lack of stability, not ability. With consistency, encouragement, and support, she has strong potential to thrive in her education. Outside the classroom, she enjoys swimming lessons, learning English, and most of all, reading. Books are her safe place and greatest passion.
She loves animals, especially dogs, and dreams of having one someday.

This young lady desires adoption and longs for a stable, loving home where she can feel accepted, understood, and supported. A family would give her the opportunity to build deep emotional bonds and continue healing while growing into all she’s capable of becoming.

Adoption is one powerful way compassion is lived out. It recognizes the needs of vulnerable children and the complex situations surrounding many pregnancies, and it responds with love, stability, and belonging. Through adoption, compassion becomes tangible—offering a child a family and reflecting the heart of God toward those in need.

This sweet 2-year-old boy from Eastern Europe is waiting for a family to call his own. ❤️

Despite facing many medical and developmental challenges early in life, he continues to make steady progress each day. He is lively, energetic, sociable, and full of personality. He loves being around people, smiles often, enjoys cuddles and affection, and lights up when listening to music. Balls, musical toys, and books are some of his favorite things.

He actively participates in rehabilitation and has already grown stronger physically. He crawls quickly, is beginning to take his first steps, and works hard alongside the specialists caring for him. Those around him describe him as charming, open, and easy to love.

This little boy will need a patient, stable, and understanding family committed to supporting his ongoing medical, physical, and emotional needs. With the right care and encouragement, he has so much potential to continue growing and thriving.

This sweet little girl is full of happiness and curiosity! She warms up easily to new people, loves cuddles, and enjoys exploring the world around her. She’s always asking questions and loves music, books, and hands-on activities like stacking blocks and working with clay.

While she sometimes struggles with emotional regulation and staying focused, she’s making progress every day. She started preschool in September 2024 and is learning new skills, including riding a scooter!
She enjoys playing outside, singing, and discovering new things.

Diagnosed with Autism and Asperger syndrome, she continues to grow in independence—dressing herself and eating on her own while still needing some support with her physiological needs. She would thrive in a loving, patient family ready to embrace her joy, curiosity, and unique journey.
