Fairgrove Family Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit social services center located in Thomasville, NC. The resource center offers multiple programs focused on building stronger families.
* The food pantry nourishes thousands of families by distributing over 300,000 pounds of nutritious food each year.
* Our utility and rent assistance program provides emergency funds for families struggli

ng to maintain these needed services.
* Free parent education and support programs are offered throughout the year to help build happy, healthy families. Families participating in these programs enjoy a free family meal and interactive childcare while participating in our programs.
* Our Circle of Friends group teaches youth how to make good decisions, set achievable goals, enhances communication skills, and builds confidence. This group meets weekly and enjoys free dinner before the weekly program.
* Our backpack programs provide healthy, child friendly food to nourish children on the weekends.

Imagine a community where everyone has access to the nourishment they need to thrive! 🌟 Our friends at Cedar Lodge are spearheading a food drive to benefit the Fairgrove Family Resource Center until the end of September, and together, we can make a tangible difference. Every shelf-stable item counts - from pop-top veggies and meats to fruits, pasta sauce, noodles, rice, breakfast items, Pop-Tarts, jelly, cereal, peanut butter, oatmeal, grits, and soups. Breakfast items are a rarity at the food pantry, and we know how crucial they are for our community, especially with the new school year just around the corner. As we gear up for the busy back-to-school season, we reached out to our generous donors to see if they could help us stock up on these essential items. And boy, did Angela Brown Cranford c/o Price Realty come through! They brought in an astonishing 109.8 pounds of cereal and toaster pastries, which is a game-changer for our food pantry. To put that into perspective, that's 75 boxes of cereal and 30 boxes of toaster pastries that will bring smiles to the faces of our clients. We're beyond grateful for their kindness and support, and we can't wait to see the impact it will have on our community! 🙏🏼🍞️

Today's harvest from Tonya Davis is a true blessing! She generously shares her garden's abundance, sometimes twice a week, and today we received an astonishing 200 lbs. of fresh goodness! We're thrilled to receive watermelon, cantaloupe, okra, cucumbers, and juicy tomatoes. Her signature yellow watermelons are a game-changer, and the massive 42.5 lbs. beauty is a testament to her hard work! We're grateful for Tonya's kindness in sharing her garden's bounty with our clients! 🙏

Kassie Cook from Cryptic Beauty is spreading hope and empowerment through education! 📚💫 She generously donated 30 backpacks overflowing with essential tools for success, including pens, paper, pencils, folders, crayons, colored pencils, pencil pouches, water bottles, and earphones. But that's not all - each bag also contains life-changing hygiene and confidence boosters like toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo, and hair brushes! 💪 These incredible women have truly outdone themselves, and our kids will be unstoppable with these amazing back-to-school bags! Our community continues to be a shining light to those in need! This morning, (L-R) Megan Anderson, Eric Anderson and Jamal Tahirkheli of Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery and Holly Hill Cares, brought in 283 pounds of food that will help us tremendously in feeding precious families. Holly Hill held a food drive, then an additional $500 of groceries were added thanks to a $250 grant from Food Lion and a $250 match by Holly Hill Cares.

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible teachers and students in the Sustainable Agriculture Department at Davidson-Davie Community College!
We are so grateful for your continued generosity and the amazing donations of fresh produce you have supplied to the Fairgrove Family Resource Center. To date this year, your contributions have added up to well over 1,000 lbs of farm-fresh goodness for our community!
We also want to give a big shout-out to all of our local Thomasville backyard gardeners, farmers, and backyard chicken keepers for your incredible, ongoing generosity this season!
We would love to mention every single one of you by name, but many of you simply drop by with bags, boxes, and containers filled with an amazing variety of fresh produce and farm-fresh eggs.
By sharing the bounty of your gardens and coops, you are keeping alive a wonderful and vital local tradition: the agricultural spirit of feeding the citizens of Thomasville, especially those who find themselves less fortunate.
