HURRICANE DEBBY STORM DEBRIS DISPOSAL

We received numerous calls regarding the disposal of vegetative storm debris.

Citizens may bring their storm debris to Rock Yard Road located off of Woodruff Farm Road. If you live on a state highway, you will need to dispose of the vegetative debris at the Rock Yard Road site.

NO TRASH BAGS, NO HOUSEHOLD OR WHITE GOODS ALLOWED.
NO CONTRACTORS ALLOWED.

Operation hours for the Rock Yard Road site are Tuesday, August 6th through Sunday, August 11th – 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Thomas county schools, city schools and Brookwood are closed. The priority for Thomas County is to keep routes open to the hospital for emergency services. They will be working diligently to get trees off roadways but this will likely be a serious event with many trees downed and roads washed out. Everyone is encouraged to stay home if possible.

CITY OF MOULTRIE'S SPENCEFIELD CAMPGROUND TO OPEN FOR FREE TO HURRICANE IAN EVACUEES.

RV sites include electric, water, a dump station, and bathroom facilities.
Spencefield Campground will be free to Hurricane Ian evacuees for the first three nights. Please call 229-890-5425 for more information. If you are calling after 5:00 PM, please call 229-921-4846.
