Thomasville Beautification Committee

Thomasville Beautification Committee The City Beautification Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 8:30 a.m. in the Board Room of City Hall, 10 Salem St. unless otherwise notified.

The City Beautification Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers appointed by the Thomasville City Council to oversee all beautification projects for our town and create an awareness of the beautification of our town. The idea is that through the committee's efforts and through awareness, Thomasville benefits in terms of Economic Development and recruitment, as well as a sense of pride in a cl

ean and beautiful community. Projects this committee is responsible for include the planting of the flower beds at the Welcome signs, the Big Chair, the fountain downtown, the mini-park and the bed at the intersection of Julian Avenue and Randolph St. If you need to contact City Beautification with concerns, questions or comments, please call 336-475-4219, or you may email at [email protected].

Many, many thanks to Keep Davidson County Beautiful, the youth group from Memorial United Methodist Church, David Bovender, Eric Kuppel and our committee volunteers for “Sweeping” the town! I can’t name all of the areas because there are lots of them! We collected six bags of trash this afternoon but I’m sure there were many more! Many thanks to Eric for coordinating these efforts! I think we are almost ready for Memorial Day weekend!

Thank you to everyone who has posted positive and uplifting comments about all that is going on in our wonderful city! We have so many selfless people who are willing to go the extra mile.
We have, however, had some not-so-positive remarks made on our posts. We have no plans to enter a dialogue about those remarks and we reserve the right to remove them from our page.
If you have concerns about something, you need to either privately message us or go directly to whomever you have concerns with.
Thank you.

These baskets at the Big Chair are some of our favorite things about spring plantings! Twenty-seven plants painstakingly go into each basket to make them the masterpieces they are! Many thanks to Todd Sechrist and Grounds Crew Landscaping for their work to make our town beautiful!
