This fall, the Community Foundation of South Georgia is kicking off the 9th annual South Georgia Legacy Fund grant cycle.

The Community Foundation of South Georgia is excited to announce the 2026 grant cycle for the Hosea Hall and Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County. Eligible nonprofit organizations with their primary office and/or services located in Thomas County are encouraged to apply for funding opportunities that strengthen our community and improve quality of life.

Grant applications are due Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

📢 Mini-Grants for Teachers – Apply Now!

Attention educators in Brooks, Grady, Thomas County & Thomasville City Schools – applications are open for the Community Foundation of South Georgia’s annual teacher mini-grants!

💡 Brooks, Thomas & Thomasville teachers: grants up to $500
💡 Grady County teachers: mini-grants up to $1,000 & maxi-grants up to $5,000

These grants support classroom projects not covered by school budgets. Awards will be announced in December 2025.

This fall, the Community Foundation of South Georgia is kicking off the 8th annual South Georgia Legacy Fund grant cycle.

🎓 We’re excited to announce that the Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded over $402,000 in scholarships in 2025!

Thanks to the generosity of local individuals, families, and community organizations, 112 scholarships were awarded this year to students from 27 high schools across South Georgia, as well as to students attending colleges throughout Georgia. These awards were made possible through 41 scholarship funds held at the Foundation.

We’re proud to help so many deserving students take the next step toward achieving their higher education goals at colleges and universities across the country.

Congratulations to all of our 2025 scholarship recipients—your hard work, dedication, and dreams are inspiring!
