Incident Alert: Possible Commercial Fire

This morning, Fair Grove units responded to assist Silver Valley Fire with a possible commercial structure fire at the Food Lion on Hwy 109. Upon arrival, Silver Valley crews were advised by store management of an odor resembling burning wires inside the building.

Crews began investigating the source while Fair Grove personnel were assigned to the roof for further investigation. Interior crews later determined the odor was coming from a breaker box. Command placed the incident under control shortly after.

There was no active fire or smoke found during the investigation; however, the store will remain closed until an electrician can evaluate the issue.

All Fair Grove units have returned to service.
